SDG was started in 2009 by Jon Stephenson centered around a Client Service model delivering individual attention and service to each client regardless of project size, while providing the technical expertise and support for each project. Since the inception of SDG in 2009, SDG has grown with a staff of LEED accredited professionals and professional engineers licensed in Massachusetts, California, Nevada, and Georgia.

SDG has recieved the EENF certificate and Final Record of Decision (FROD) for the New Quincy Center Redevelopment Project in Quincy, Massachusetts. The certificate outlines the scope for the Draft Environmental Impact Report and the FROD grants a Phase I waiver, which allows MassDOT to commence design review for the Burgin Parkway Access Bridge. This is a major milestone the advancement in the state permitting of this 3.4 million square foot mixed use redevelopment project.

SDG, working with the City of Quincy, received approval from the Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs, for the the Designation of a Densely Developed Area (DDA) associated with a portion of Town Brook through Quincy Center. The Designation results in the reduction of jurisdictional riverfront area in the DDA from 200 feet down to 25 feet in the densely developed Quincy Center area.

SDG is pleased to welcome Michael "Misha" Goodman, PE, LEED AP, as project engineer, to our Land Development Group in our Boston office. Misha brings to SDG his experience working on large mixed use urban redevelopment projects. Misha is a welcome addition to our staff of professional engineers and land development sustainable design team. In addition to his professional experience, Misha is proud to participate in the ACE mentoring program, mentoring city high school students in the field of civil engineering and related AEC fields.

SDG is pleased to announce the addition of Joseph Cappellino, EIT to our staff. Joseph is a recent graduate of Northeastern University in Civil Engineering. Joseph was the NU 2011 Civil Engineering Department Transportation Student of the year.

SDG has received the ENF certificate from the MEPA office for the Town Brook Enhancement Project in Quincy, Massachusetts, requiring no EIR filing and no further MEPA review, allowing the project to move into State permitting.
